Mayfair
Three Michelin stars in the panelled drawing room of Mayfair's most discreet hotel, the defining London fine-dining address.
Anne-Sophie Pic's two-Michelin-star Four Seasons dining room, the Valence three-star register, in the City.
On the ground floor of the Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square, Anne-Sophie Pic's first London room earned two Michelin stars within four years of opening in 2017 and has held them since. Pic's grammar is the Maison Pic in Valence's, flavour built in elaborate layered combinations, the famous Berlingots filled with seasonal cheese fondue, the white Millefeuille with vanilla and jasmine. Pic herself runs the operation across Valence, Paris, London, Geneva, Singapore, and each room is run by a chef she trained. The City address is unusual for a restaurant of this register; the audience that has eaten at the three-star Maison Pic finds the same precision two miles from the Bank of England.
The Berlingots are non-negotiable, Pic's signature dish, filled differently each season. Lunch at £80 is the calm entry; the £230 tasting is the full statement. The room sits inside a Grade II-listed shipping building, ask for a window seat onto the marble atrium.
