Hôtel Jules & Jim is built on the bones of a former precious-metals factory on rue des Gravilliers, its concrete-wood-glass design serving as a quieter, more contemporary counterweight to the Marais's heritage hotels. 23 rooms, some in the main building, some in two small houses set around an interior courtyard, with high-end linens and Bluetooth sound systems. The soul of the property is the courtyard bar — open to non-guests, one of the more interesting cocktail addresses in the northern Marais, and frequently the spot where guests start and end their evenings. Named after Truffaut's film, gay-friendly, and consistently the best-priced design hotel in the 3e.
