A multi-generational Baixa institution founded in 1930, Conserveira de Lisboa is a tiny shop of wooden shelves stacked with hand-wrapped tins of Portuguese tuna, cod, sardines and mackerel under its own heritage labels. The décor is essentially untouched, the staff still wrap each can in branded paper. The definitive place to understand — and take home — Portugal's conserva culture.
