Pigneto
Funky pedestrian hipster strip

Pigneto

Pasolini's working-class quarter turned hipster pedestrian strip of natural wine and multicultural kitchens.

Pasolini's old working-class quarter, immortalised in Accattone, has become Rome's hipster pedestrian strip: natural-wine bars, third-wave coffee and a multicultural cluster of kitchens along the Isola Pedonale of Via del Pigneto. Necci dal 1924, where the director once held court, still anchors the scene. Funky and convivial, it is the visitor's find-the-new-thing arc, where the city's experimental energy is most concentrated.
