Two blocks back from Zurriola, Garbola is a small, lived-in bar with a 1970s look and an owner-bartender whose cocktails travellers and locals alike single out as among the best in San Sebastián. The spirits wall runs deep beyond its strong gin selection, and the pintxos, including a low-temperature egg with truffled potato, are made in-house. It earns its spot purely on the drinks.
