A genuine institution on Piazza dei Sanniti, family-run since 1890 and once Pier Paolo Pasolini's local. Charcoal-grilled meats, carbonara, cacio e pepe and Roman artichokes in a wood-and-tile room thick with neighbourhood history. The Tucci spotlight has found it, but the substance long predates the fame.
