Frühsammers

Sonja Frühsammer runs the Michelin-starred restaurant inside the Grunewald tennis club on Flinsberger Platz — one of Berlin's quieter and oldest Michelin holdings (the star arrived in 2003 and has held with the family ever since). The setting is pre-war club building wrapped in tall trees; the kitchen is modern-European with serious technique, tasting menus run six or seven courses, lunch is open. The crowd here uses Frühsammers for the long-Sunday-lunch into-the-Grunewald-walk afternoon, or for the older-Berlin dinner that does not announce itself.
