Maçka

Maçka sits on the ridge between Nişantaşı and Dolmabahçe, organised around Maçka Demokrasi Parkı, whose slopes drop toward the Bosphorus and host the Füniküler cable car to Taşkışla. The surrounding blocks hold some of the city's best-known residences, the Swissôtel, and the Maçka Palas apartments where intellectuals and diplomats have lived since the 1920s. The neighborhood feels like Nişantaşı's greener extension, trading storefronts for shaded walkways and sweeping skyline views.
