Diyarbakır Restaurant sits on Grand Parade in the dense top half of the Harringay ladder — Southeastern Anatolian rather than İstanbul-Aegean, with the heavier hand on lamb that the southeastern register implies. The Infatuation calls it the top of the Green Lanes ocakbaşı pile; the kuzu pirzola, the içli köfte and the side of fresh-baked tandır lavash are the orders. Locals use it when the visiting İstanbullu wants to taste southeastern cooking properly executed — it is closer to Çiya in Kadıköy than to a generic Turkish grill.
