Condesa

Condesa is the closest Munich gets to actual Mexican cooking — founded by Georg Ebner and Isaac Pastrana, named after the Mexico City neighbourhood, with a small chain of locations across the city of which the Münchner Freiheit room is the one to know. The kitchen does proper street-tacos on house-pressed corn tortillas (al pastor, carnitas, lengua, vegetarian options), guacamole made to order, agua frescas, and a tight tequila-and-mezcal list. Nothing about it is fine dining — it's a casual Mexican lunch-or-dinner stop in Schwabing — but it's the only address in Munich where the salsa is right, the tortillas aren't industrial, and the al pastor actually tastes like al pastor. Useful for a relaxed Schwabing meal between proper restaurant nights.
