Lemar Innenstadt

The press-awarded benchmark for Afghan cooking in Munich, family-run since 2001, with three city locations of which the Innenstadt branch on Brunnstraße sits closest to the Bahnhofsviertel diaspora corridor. Cardamom, coriander, mint and cinnamon hit you at the door; the kitchen works from original family recipes brought from Kabul, the homemade chutneys are the menu's quiet showpiece, and the Qabili Pulao with raisins and carrots is the dish to order if you're new. Calmer than the Goethestraße canteens but rooted in the same diaspora.
