| Zuletzt geprüft: May 2026 Down a pedestrian alley between Charing Cross Road and St Martin's Lane, J Sheekey has served the West End theatre crowd since the 1890s and remains the most-quoted London seafood room outside Wiltons. A panelled warren of small connected rooms, a counter-style oyster bar next door, and a kitchen that has run unchanged through three generations of Caprice Holdings ownership — Dover sole on the bone, fish pie, potted shrimps, the puddings the old British way. The bay's reader seeing a play at the Noël Coward or the Wyndham's eats here at six and again at half-eleven.
