Founded in 1465, Osteria del Sole is one of the oldest taverns in Italy and a Bologna ritual all its own. It pours only wine and beer; you bring your own food, sharing long communal tables under faded walls and old photographs down a narrow vicolo off the Quadrilatero. The locals-only conviviality is genuine and impossible to fake.
