Belvedere + Stadtpark — Steirereck, embassy quarter, Baroque-palace orbit
The 3. Bezirk runs south-east of the Innere Stadt and holds two of Vienna's load-bearing addresses: the Belvedere — Prinz Eugen's two-Baroque-palace complex with the Klimt collection in the Upper Belvedere — and the Stadtpark, with Steirereck inside it. The embassy quarter sits along Reisnerstraße and Salesianergasse; the British, Russian, Belgian and Vatican legations are all here. The gezgin uses Landstraße for the Belvedere morning leading into a Steirereck lunch, the embassy-quarter business dinner, and the long walk along the Stadtpark river that doubles as the natural digestif for a three-star meal.
