Margareten

The 5. Bezirk sits south of Wieden, between the Naschmarkt's western end and the inner Gürtel, historically working-class, still residential, with the cheapest honest lunches inside the inner-ring belt. The Schlossquadrat, Schloßgasse, Margaretenstraße, Stolberggasse, has become the natural-wine and bistro pocket where Glockenbach-grade ideas land at half the Innere-Stadt rent. The Margaretenplatz square anchors the daytime register; the Gänsehäufel-and-Esterházy-park edge runs quieter. The gezgin uses Margareten for the lunch you don't book and the Wednesday evening at a six-table room.
