Memedof Yalıkavak

Memedof is the Çuhadar family fish house run by Mehmet and Tülin Çuhadar since the original Gölköy opening in 2001, with the Yalıkavak branch opened in 2007 once the Gölköy site converted to a hotel. The Yalıkavak room sits on the Gerişaltı stretch of Çökertme caddesi, the village side rather than the marina spectacle, and the cooking holds the classic Aegean fish-meyhane register without the destination-restaurant gloss: olive-oil mezes worked out of the daily market, hot and cold seafood courses that move with the catch, fresh-fish service that runs on the day's boat haul rather than the printed card, and a dessert section that closes the meal in the same family-tablecloth idiom the founding couple keeps from the Gölköy original. The service hours run thirteen-hundred to one in the morning, the August reservation pressure is real, and the room is the natural Yalıkavak alternative for the visitor who has already booked Mezra and wants the older Bodrum fish-meyhane grammar without the marina noise.
