Set in the former workshop of a hat-form woodcarver, Volume keeps the old tools, books and machinery as decor and works as a cafe by day, cocktail-and-live-music bar by night. It is one of the piazza's defining locals' rooms, with strong drinks and a genuinely creative atmosphere. Character over polish, and all the better for it.
