| Dernière vérification: May 2026 Founded in 1707 as a candle and grocery shop on Piccadilly, Fortnum's is the food hall the audience has been buying tea, biscuits and Christmas hampers from for three centuries. The ground-floor hall — confectionery, charcuterie, the famed tea counter — sits below the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon on the fourth floor, where afternoon tea has been served since the building's 2012 redesign. Ground-floor 45 Jermyn St. and the Parlour are the rooms to know; the hampers (mailed worldwide) are the souvenir the audience already buys.
