Founded in 1948, Terkenlis is so synonymous with tsoureki that the word is almost shorthand for the brand across Greece. Its oldest shop sits on the corner of Tsimiski and Aristotelous Square, where the smell of baking drifts across the plaza each morning. Beyond the chocolate-wrapped tsoureki, the counter runs deep on classic Greek patisserie.
