Bandol sur Mer

Bandol sur Mer is a twenty-seat room on Torstraße in Mitte that started life as a fish bistro and pivoted into a Michelin-starred tasting room without changing its address. Andreas Saul cooks a fixed four-course menu that changes weekly; the seafood emphasis remains but the format reads as a tight modern French-Mediterranean room with one star (held since 2014). The dining room is dark, the prints on the wall are unchanged from the bistro period, and the format insists that the audience accept what is cooked rather than choose. The wine list is short and deep on Provence and the Languedoc.
