| Laatst beoordeeld: May 2026 Down a pedestrian alley between Charing Cross Road and St Martin's Lane, J Sheekey has served the West End theatre crowd since the 1890s and remains the most-quoted London seafood room outside Wiltons. A panelled warren of small connected rooms, a counter-style oyster bar next door, and a kitchen that has run unchanged through three generations of Caprice Holdings ownership, Dover sole on the bone, fish pie, potted shrimps, the puddings the old British way. The bay's reader seeing a play at the Noël Coward or the Wyndham's eats here at six and again at half-eleven.
