The kitchen runs a field-to-fork seasonal menu, properly cooked Sunday roasts, an honest game pie when it's on, a short and well-priced wine list, under bare-brick walls and leather banquettes. Regulars reaches for the Cross Keys when they want a Chelsea Sunday lunch that the in-laws will recognise as a real London pub rather than a tourist's idea of one.
