Jazzclub Unterfahrt

Unterfahrt has been the Munich jazz address since 1978, run as a non-profit by the Jazzfreunde München association and programming a concert every night of the year. The cellar holds around two hundred at small round tables; the booking covers European modern, the New York mainstream, free improvisation, and a Monday-night jam session that has launched local careers. International touring artists pass through here on the German leg — Lage Lund, Joscho Stephan, Eva Kruse all played the May 2026 calendar. The bar is functional, the sightlines are good, and the listening discipline of the room is the reason musicians return.
