Opened as a gelateria in 1924 and famously frequented by Pier Paolo Pasolini, Necci is Pigneto's original neighbourhood institution: a mod 1960s room and big garden patio under a street-art portrait of the director, serving coffee, full pasta menus, wine and aperitivo from morning to late. The quarter's social anchor, with wine tastings in a 1st-century BC hypogeum below.
