An Amsterdam institution dating to 1702 in a handsome building on the Amstel waterfront, all at once a grand café, cocktail lounge, reading room and proper restaurant, with one of the city's largest tree-shaded terraces. Fresh oysters by the water and an all-day rhythm. A genuine grand café opposite the Plantage, not a themed waterfront stop.
