Founded in 1872 by a young cook named Gemma steps from the cathedral, this Amalfi institution serves classic local cooking from a terrace overlooking the Duomo and main square. The kitchen leans on fresh fish antipasti, scialatielli and paccheri, and delicate seafood mains; a wine bar, La Cantina, was added in 2018. Polished but comfortable rather than formal.
