Bonanza Coffee Roasters
Prenzlauer Berg's 2006 third-wave origin roastery — Oderberger Straße.
Kollwitzplatz Saturday market + bistro strip + the brunch and third-wave coffee capital of Berlin.
North-east of Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg holds the post-Wende generation that moved into the surviving Gründerzeit blocks and never left — the Kollwitzplatz Saturday market, the Helmholtzplatz café grid, the Pappelallee bistro strip and the Schönhauser Allee axis. The gezgin uses the hood for the long-form brunch (the format Berlin owns), the third-wave coffee circuit (Bonanza was an early roastery), and the modern-bistro dinner where the menu changes weekly. Quieter than Mitte's commercial pulse, more rooted than Neukölln's churn.
