Pizzacı Avni is a neighbourhood pizzeria on the corner of Şehit Uğur Öztop Caddesi in Gündoğan's inner lanes, leaning on a stone oven and a thin-crust tradition. The room Avni Usta has been running for years works as the address everyone in the village should naturally end up at, from local families to day visitors and summer residents: generous toppings, plain margherita and meat pizzas, the right price point for family tables, and quickly served hot dough. The room stays away from decoration, with takeaway or street-side outdoor seating used depending on the weather. Open from twelve to eleven, and a call ahead for a night-time table is advisable in season.
