Historic Marmara seaside village with old summer mansions

Yeşilköy is one of Istanbul's most historic seaside neighborhoods, on the Marmara coast just east of the airport. Its tree-lined streets retain the look of a 19th-century summer resort, wooden mansions, Levantine villas, the Atatürk Museum, and a long marina promenade. Today it remains an upscale, low-rise pocket where airport-adjacent calm meets serious old-Istanbul restaurants and patisseries.
