Seferihisar is Turkey's first Cittaslow, and its coastal village of Sığacık embodies that ethos around a restored Genoese castle whose walls now enclose lived-in houses and a small marina. The big draw is the Saturday market inside and around the castle, where peninsula growers sell vegetables, herbs, olive oil and tangerines straight from the field.
