The Lanesborough sits in the old St George's Hospital building at Hyde Park Corner, opposite Apsley House, a Regency mansion that since 1991 has been a hotel, since 2015 an Oetker Collection house, and since 2024 carrying a Travel + Leisure top-of-list ranking for London. 93 rooms, all with 24-hour butler, a Lanesborough Club & Spa that runs as a separate London membership address, and Céleste with its blue-and-white domed dining room under the cupola. The most overtly traditional of the London grandes dames currently in good form, for the audience that wants Empire-furniture grandeur without the Connaught crowd.
