The Orange

The Orange Public House and Hotel sits on the Pimlico Road and Sussex Street corner — one of Cubitt House's six London townhouse pubs (Thomas Cubitt, Coach Makers Arms, Alfred Tennyson, Grazing Goat, Barley Mow). The ground floor runs as a corner pub-and-dining-room with a wood-fired oven turning out Neapolitan-style pizzas, slow-cooked lamb, and the gastropub register the group has held through three decades; four bedrooms upstairs run as a small townhouse hotel. Regulars use it as the Pimlico Road lunch after Tate Britain or the Sloane Square dinner that doesn't need Mayfair-grade kitchen ambition.
