Six d.o.g.s.

Six d.o.g.s., 'six dimensions of game', opened in 2010 in a former carpentry workshop on Avramiotou in Monastiraki and has functioned since as the city's most consistently programmed design-forward cultural venue: an indoor cocktail bar, a planted central courtyard the architects rebuilt around an old plane tree, a concert space at the back, an art-and-design retail corner. Coffee from 11:00, lunch plates from 13:00, the cocktail program from 19:00, programmed concerts most weeks. The crowd here uses Six d.o.g.s. as the daytime-and-evening transition room, the place where a Monastiraki walk turns into the rest of the evening, without leaving the building.
