Avocado Vegetarian Cafe
Syntagma (Nikis)
Nikis Street vegetarian-and-vegan day-room — the central-Athens brunch counter.
Mitropoleos all-day food hall and hotel — produce market, day-bakery, modern-Greek dining counter.
Ergon House opened on Mitropoleos in 2018 — a four-storey concept hotel-and-food-hall by the Ergon brand (the Thessaloniki-founded contemporary-Greek-products group), with a ground-floor produce market, a day-bakery, a modern-Greek dining counter, and twenty rooms above. The format reads as a working version of the Italian Eataly model adapted to the Greek register: the ground floor sells the cheese and olive oil and the dried herbs the kitchen uses; the dining counter at the back runs a breakfast-through-dinner kitchen with the produce read directly from the market. Yazlıkçı readers use Ergon House for the brunch-and-shopping day — Acropolis-walk in the morning, Ergon for late breakfast, take-home cheese and olive oil for the city gift.
The ground-floor market is the take-home stop for olive oil, dried oregano, and Cretan honey — wrapped to fly. The dining counter does a solid Greek breakfast (strapatsada, sourdough, Manouri cheese with thyme honey) until 12:00.
