Set within the roofless stone shell of a Venetian-Ottoman building on Agion Deka, Tholos serves traditional and slightly elevated Cretan dishes in one of the old town's most atmospheric rooms. The architecture, exposed walls open to the night sky, does a lot, but the kitchen holds its own with grilled meats, seafood and wild greens. A back-lane Topanas alternative to the harbour strip.
