Bolognese cooking in a former apothecary, no menu
Set in a converted old pharmacy with its apothecary jars and wooden shelves intact, run since 1994 by the irrepressible Emanuele Addone. There is no printed menu; Addone himself talks you through the day's tortelloni, tagliatelle al ragù and balsamic beef and matches the wine. An idiosyncratic institution under the Santo Stefano porticoes.
Addone's table-side patter is part of the meal; expect to be guided, not handed a card.
