| Last reviewed: May 2026 James Lowe opened Lyle's on the ground floor of the Tea Building in 2014 — high-ceilinged, white-walled, no music, daily-changing four-course set menu — and within two years it held a Michelin star and ranked World's 50 Best top-thirty. The cooking is the source-driven, ingredient-named-on-the-plate register that the chapter's Brat, Brawn, Rochelle Canteen and 40 Maltby Street all drew from: small British producers, native breeds, no garnishes for theatre.
