A half-century family osteria behind Teatro Bellini
Founded in 1967 by Don Vincenzo and donna Carmela and now run by their son Rosario, this historic-centre osteria has spent more than fifty years on plainspoken Neapolitan cooking, risotto alla pescatora, baccala carpaccio, grilled calamaro and the ragu with eggplant parmigiana. Locally sourced, traditionally cooked, and aimed at neighbours rather than tour buses.
Near the Conservatorio and Teatro Bellini, a pre-theatre standby. Family-run and unfussy; the seafood plates are the move.
