Konstantin Filippou — Austrian-born to a Greek father, trained under Heinz Winkler and at Mugaritz — opened his eponymous room on Dominikanerbastei in 2013 and earned two Michelin stars in the Austria 2026 guide. The cooking sits in a deliberately narrow register: Austrian sourcing read through a Mediterranean grammar, often a Greek-Aegean accent on the seafood courses. Eight to ten courses; the lunch menu is a tighter four. The room is small (twenty-two seats), the kitchen open at the back, the wine list precise rather than encyclopaedic. O Boufés next door is Filippou's casual bistro — natural-wine bar, a la carte, walk-in friendly — and serves as the consolation booking when the main room is sold out.
