In a restored neoclassical building overlooking Heraklion's Venetian walls, chef M. Maniadakis runs a genuinely original gastrobistro, crab-stuffed samosas, duck, sea bream, potato rösti with local cheese, that elevates everyday dining without pretension. Cosmopolitan technique on a Cretan base, in a refined but unstuffy room. The city's best modern-bistro pick.
