Operating since 1923, Baylan is famous for Kup Griye — the caramelized almond ice cream dessert invented in 1954 by pastry chef Harry Lenas. Now an Istanbul culinary icon, the patisserie maintains the same recipes and atmosphere that have made it a pilgrimage destination for dessert lovers for a century.
