Best Baguette de Paris 2024 winner — sourdough, charcoal-black tradition, and weekend croissant programme
Erwan Blanche and Sébastien Bruno opened Utopie on rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud in 2015 with a long-fermentation sourdough programme and a viennoiserie counter that pushed beyond the standard 11e bakery. Xavier Netry won the Grand Prix de la Baguette de Paris 2024 here — the prize delivers fresh baguettes to the Élysée every morning for a year. The charcoal-coloured baguette (vegetable charcoal in the dough) is the photo; the standard tradition is the order. Weekend viennoiserie rotates — chocolate-flower croissants, rice-pudding tartlets, matcha kouign-amann — and the queue out the door starts at 09:00. Two minutes from Parmentier metro.
