Paris's Greek scene has long been thin: Mavrommatis carried the gastronomic flag in the 5e for thirty years (Andreas Mavrommatis passed in March 2026), and below it the city defaulted to Greek-tourist-cliché. Étsi opened on rue Eugène Carrière in the 18e in 2017 with Mikaela Liaroutsos (Cyril Lignac, Michel Rostang in her training) cooking the Cyclades of her childhood summers on Serifos — roast cauliflower with anchovy and Serifos capers, scallops in pistachio mizithra butter, mezze that read sharp not heavy. Listed in the 2025 Michelin Guide France, Le Fooding regular. Her sister room L'Ouzeri at 41 rue du Ruisseau handles the street-food register. The reference Greek room in central-north Paris.
