Babylon opened in Aya Yorgi cove in 2011 and remains the peninsula's serious music venue — the Babylon Soundgarden festival is its summer event, the Saturday concert series brings Turkish and international names, and Wednesday's Bora Uzer set has been the regular for years. The format is Pozitif: twenty hectares of citrus garden running down to a clear cove, a thousand-person beach, Radios Babylon over the speakers between sets. It is the rare beach club where the music programming is the reason — not the post-justification.
Saturday night concerts and the Bora Uzer Wednesday are the dates to circle; book the Soundgarden festival weekends as soon as the line-up drops. Daytime cabana on the beach side; the citrus-garden side is quieter and where regulars sit through afternoon.
