OMA/Rem Koolhaas transformed a former 1910s distillery south of Porta Romana into one of Europe's most ambitious private art foundations, complete with the gold-leafed Haunted House tower. Programming is genuinely serious - major commissions and survey shows across thoughtfully sequenced industrial volumes. Come for the art and architecture, not the much-photographed café.
