| Last reviewed: May 2026 Theresienhöhe 15, on the former Messe grounds between the Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum and the Bavaria statue — opened June 2007, run by the Sedgwick family since August 2011. Mr. Sedgwick was kitchen director at the Peninsula Bangkok and earlier at Tantris Munich, La Pergola Rome, La Grande Cascade Paris; the Bavarian menu reads with that pedigree underneath the schnitzel. Two cosy parlours seat 90, the banquet hall takes 300, the Augustiner-fed beer garden runs whenever the weather holds.
