A true Japanese izakaya — sake-only list, no sushi-roll tourism
Opened by chef Koji Nakai and Roberto Salvati, Ie Koji recreates a genuine izakaya: katsu sando, tamagoyaki, soba, tofu dishes and ramen, with a drinks list that is entirely Japanese — a dozen sakes, Japanese beer and cocktails. It's a small, reservation-driven room near Via Cipro that won over Romans rather than tourists. Substance-led Japanese, not photo-menu fusion.
