Innere Stadt
One Michelin star in the Innere Stadt — pan-Asian fine dining since 2009.
One Michelin star inside Hotel Kempinski Vienna — Marcus Riedel's modern Austrian.
Edvard is the fine-dining room inside the Kempinski Vienna on Schubertring, named for Edvard Munch and styled around a permanent Munch lithograph collection in the dining room. Marcus Riedel runs the kitchen — one Michelin star steadily over the past decade. The menu is six- or eight-course modern Austrian: a Steiermark wagyu course, a fermented-vegetable opener, dairy from small Carinthian farms. The wine list inherits the Kempinski's depth. The room is unhurried and formal in the central-European hotel register; the location — across the Ring from Stadtpark, five minutes' walk from Steirereck — makes it the natural second-night booking for the audience already in the Schubertring orbit.
Two-three weeks ahead. The Kempinski lobby bar Bristol Lounge is the natural aperitif setting before the room.
