Doyum Grillhaus
Kreuzberg
Kreuzberg's Anatolian ocakbaşı on Admiralstraße — the audience reference döner-and-kebap address.
Kreuzberg's 1891 covered market — Thursday Street Food evenings, weekly produce.
Markthalle Neun on Eisenbahnstraße in Kreuzberg is the surviving Wilhelmine-era covered market (1891) that the current operators relaunched in 2011 as a weekly-produce market hall on Friday and Saturday and as the city's Street Food Thursday event from 17:00 onward. The Thursday format is the audience-recognisable one — twenty-plus traders, the room loud, the queue at each stall the marker of what is working that week. Permanent tenants include Sironi (Italian bread), Heidenpeters (in-hall brewery), Big Stuff Smoked BBQ. The Saturday-morning produce shop is the resident-Berlin ritual.
Thursday Street Food is the format; arrive at 17:30 to beat the after-work crush. Saturday morning is the produce shop — the cheese and the bread are the markers.
