Ferdi Baba Şifne
Şifne
The original Şifne address of the Kabak fish dynasty — the quiet one, where the locals still go
A small Şifne fish house on the village side — for when even Ferdi Baba feels too crowded
Tucked into the Şifne village a few hundred metres from the Ferdi Baba terrace, Beyaz Balık is the working-fishermen address — a single room, a short board of whatever came in that morning, and a generous meze fridge. The crowd is local, the bill is honest, and on a Tuesday night in June it is the closest thing to a private fish dinner you can find within an hour of Alaçatı. Not for a celebration — for a quiet rakı-balık evening.
No reservations, no website — call the village or just turn up at 19:30. Order whatever the proprietor recommends; the lakerda and the fava are the meze cornerstones. A second-string pick after Ferdi Baba; only worth it on a quiet night.
